Re: TR 43 Overpass - East of Fostoria
This was the last of three to be built in the Fostoria area. Supposedly ran out money building the other two. The idea for this was all the parked trains after the ConRail breakup of 1999.

Two holidays mid week will change things drastically.
Re: Wauseon
You won’t have any problems. Depot in downtown is a great place. Can’t think of lodging at Wauseon.

Re: Fostoria signal question
Thanks for the replies. A couple more questions if I may. Firstly, I've seen a couple of trains go west on the CSX line with yellow over flashing green and, as far as I could tell, with nothing preceding them for a while. Is it possible to make any deduction from this, such as the train is likely t...

Re: Fostoria signal question
Hope you don't mind me tagging onto this thread as my first post. I'm a Brit who's been watching the Fostoria railcams quite a bit over the last few weeks, partly because it's a busy location and partly because there are signals in view. I'm fairly new to US signalling practise, and although I've d...

Dispatcher clicked the mouse twice for a through route at wood street. Pretty common move with a train following another.

Re: NS West Virginia Secondary-Columbus Oh to Alloy WV
I am a bit confused by the trackage arrangement down by the Ohio River crossing. Using the online Ohio Rail map as a reference, I see what appears to be this line running from Columbus down to Hobson Junction. At Hobson Jct, there is a CSX line which runs from that point to just south of Addison, w...

Re: Deshler Northwest Wye Removal?
508 and 509 both work Walbridge so that is another reason to operate via Fostoria.
506 and 507 are Cincinnati to Walbridge trains.

Re: Deshler Northwest Wye Removal?
Wow. That’s a big change. I haven’t been to Deshler in probably about 3-4 years now. There was still significant traffic north and south across the diamonds my last visit. I had heard not much on the northwest transfe/wye any longer but didn’t realize the other north south traffic had declined. Whe...

East of Montpelier, Oh, the old Wabash Line extends east to Ohio Route 15. What is the purpose of this long extension? Is it used as additional runout space for trains servicing the grain elevator in town?

Re: Deshler Northwest Wye Removal?
Q203 is the only scheduled train using the northwest transfer and that’s during the early wee hours of the morning. Q506 should have been the northbound you saw and it’s counterpart Q507 would also cross the diamond. The ore trains K172 and K173 should also cross the diamond along with the local D74...

Unless they can prove criminal intent with her parking the vehicle on the tracks the NS will have to swallow all the cost of the derailment but the NS could charge her with train delay fee.
