I think I've seen photos of Lake States doing this in a few places, just leaving cars lying there. If they are scrap, why don't they cut them up on the spot? If they don't buy them and scrap them, they have to pay car hire on them until they are gone.

All the crews on HESR spent the day today digging out switches, another fun railroad job.

Doc, I wonder who is paying the car hire on those cars? Figure about .50 per hour for each car while it is on your railroad, mounts up pretty quick.

If you want to ride a really good dinner train, make the drive down to Blissfield. Food and entertainment are top notch. Great birthday present I had.

Can we get an update from someone on this, should be pretty close. HESR was up pulling empties from Essexville tonight.

Doesn't make sense unless one of the trains ran a red signal (he'll be fired) knocking down the signal for the conflicting movement.

As already said, only one can be lined across at a time, the other must stop (or should before going past the signal).

Talk to the people on the ADBF or Charlotte Southern. They are always looking for new ideas to try.
