i got pics of the 1225 going to Huntington in '91...best 2 days of chasing steam ever!!!...missed 'em out of Plymouth but caught up at the Ford Rd viaduct...down thru Walbridge to Lima etc etc...didnt see the 1225 go around the wye at Plymouth but did see them the night before squeaking and sneaking...

been all over Howell in 41 years.....currently living near lake Chemung....is this Bob that flies the homemade railroad flags?....if so we meet in 2001 when i brouht my then 5 year old son to the little roadside park by the wooden bridge to watch trains....names Larry

i so hated switching Ogihara on 709...was almost as bad as the old Thermofil in Brighton....especially in winter...frosty brakes low air....and steep grade....yuck

was in the rulebook....when you gave a train a rollby from anywhere youd either give 'em an "all black and blinkin'" or let them know of a problem.....in the case of container doors most times the next meet it would be arrainged for the sitting crew to wait for the doors get em stopped and then clos...

i dont think i ever got a X5xx outa Rouge that didnt have open doors on it....they call it the "ho chi min trail" between the tunnel and Rougemere and unless theres some type of emergancy the DSPR trys realy realy hard not to let trains slowdown thru that section....i remember 1 YM at Rouge telling ...

yea i guess so...nothing between CH 48 and WE Howell....except a slow order at Latson rd and a tamper regulator set on the house track in Howell
