Re: NW2 for sale on Ozark Mountain Railcar
Yor talking about that Wabash EMD NW2 for 30,000? Don't know much about it but I seen it sitting at the Bellevue train museum if you want to go look at it. It sitting on the EX-NYC main on the other side of the tracks from the Museum. Maybe a Museum member might be around and can answer questions bu...

Re: PRR Carrothers Secondary
Ahh ok, Thanks Guys. I saw auto cars there last spring but there haven't been anything there since. I thought it was odd that it CSX owned but the only way to get to it is on NS tracks even though the south side of the old yard is right next to CSX. I hope that One day it would get used again, railr...

Re: PRR Carrothers Secondary
Any info on the Ex-PRR yard in toledo? I drive by it almost everyday. Like when they took the yard out? I can see that the sanding tower still there.
Any ideas what CSX gonna do with it?

Not sure if you been on the east side of toledo, but there is Vicker crossing where CSX and NS cross each other near Wales Road, Plus CSX has two yards in Walbridge, Walbridge yard and Stanley yard. Stanley has a hump yard and there always something interesting sitting in the fuel racks, I beleive t...

Re: NS Clay Center Trains
I've often wondered if this track at Clay Center was a remnant of the former Toledo and Eastern. Does anyone know if this is the case? Well, yes and no. The T&E came in from the north end and used the north end of the TPC&L later the Ohio Public Service, interurban route. The track is actually just...

Re: NS Clay Center Trains
The train I saw at Clay Center did not have those lids over the cars. Those aren't lids, that part of the building behind the train. I live in Clay Center, I have seen trains go into the quarry and leave the next day and other times they sit there for like a week, spring-fall when it busy. I also s...

Was driving through Toledo the other day showing a friend some of toledo railroad history and I was Shock to see that they redid the rails around Dorr and Douglas. I knew that it was going to be a matter of time that they were going to remove the diamonds that once was used by Toledo Terminal and NY...

Re: NS Heritage Unit Location Updates
According to the Heritage Unit locator yahoo group the Conrail unit left Rochester, PA at 1:20pm on a 572 coal train bound for Sandusky, OH. Would that be an Alliance-Bucyrus-Sandusky routing? Edit: Guess not, someone reported it west of Hudson on the Cleveland line at 4:14pm What this Heritage uni...
