Re: Yep... another Rejection

It being pixilated was probably because I put it in paint to crop it.

And I agree it looked a little boxy, I'd maybe take a little more off the bottom if anything.

Re: Best Ho Scale Flex-Track

Or would I be better off using Atlas Code 100? I just dont know if I can work around the black ties in Code 100, thats where I draw the realism line. My crude knowledge of this type of thing would suggest covering the rail with some good painters tape and then take a can of brown spray paint to the...

http://railroadfan.com/gallery/albums/userpics/11182/4_x_8_for_rrfan_2.jpg The yard does now go for 8 feet, just wouldn't all fit in the screen shot. Will probably play with the track some more there. Buildings were a bit of a guesstimation as to size, so that'll take some playing with also. I was ...

Re: Taking a stab at a 4x8 and then some.

Thanks for the comments so far. Here's a revised layout.. http://railroadfan.com/gallery/albums/userpics/11182/444.gif Made the curves wider and added a few more sidings. It is kind of split into the north and south sides, each would be served by a different train. I agree on there needs to be a lon...

Taking a stab at a 4x8 and then some.

So I've been wanting to get a small layout going for some time, nothing much, but something I can mess with when I'm not at the model railroad club. So this is what I've got, a 4x8 with a 2x4 extension. You could run looping or even some ops with just the 4x8 and the add on lets there be room for a ...

Re: Adrian & Blissfield Railroad to Ottawa Lake connection

I believe almost no traffic is interchanged with the I&O, something will show up now and again, but 90% of everything comes off the NS as is.

Re: Adrian & Blissfield Railroad to Ottawa Lake connection

I remember hearing that at one point the Ottawa Lake - Toledo portion was retained by what I think would have been Conrail at the time, specifically so that a competing railroad could not gain access to a different interchange in Toledo and any old road traffic would have to be handled by whoever he...

Roughly how big is this peninsula? That's quite a bit of industry squeezed in there.

Unless something has changed, the cars go to Montpelier.
Yep, L61(?) out or Montpelier turns at Adrian.

Re: Interesting Newspaper Article in Lenawee County

AARR, this is a list of active shippers that I know of. In Adrian, Plastics Place on the west end - 3-6ish cars each time they run out there (maybe twice a week?) The new Bio-Diesel place - old one would get 3-4 cars at a time i think. Stevens Lumber/trans load - a center beam or two a week, also so...
