Re: CSX scottslawn secondary

I heard the V013 last night on the scanner as well. Dispatcher was talking to them about running around the train at Dunkirk and shoving back in to wherever they were going. Crew called for a cab in Kenton to take them back to Marysville so my guess is it was headed to Heritage in Kenton. Two Ferrom...

Re: CSX scottslawn secondary

Q311 came through today around 1:45pm with SD70AC 4527, SD40-2 8821, and CN SD75i 5721. It got stopped by Q353 going into Honda. Quite the lashup. H708 has been using an SD50-3, 8662, for power the last week or so recently as well. Good power on the Scottslawn.

Re: CSX scottslawn secondary

Two extra grain trains heading south today, one right after the other. G253 and G991. There were two grains trains that loaded at Heritage Cooperative in Marysville the past two weeks as well if I remember correctly.

Re: CSX scottslawn secondary

I have an update on a new train that uses the North End of the Scottslawn, Q353. It’s a manifest freight with racks for Honda. It comes from Chicago and goes to Louisville, Kentucky. It has an odd routing I believe but goes down to Honda then back north to the Indianapolis line to head to Sydney whe...

Re: CSX scottslawn secondary

Neither have I, not sure what that second southbound was the other night, my guess is one was Q146 but the other may have been an extra but I did not see it so I am not sure.

Re: CSX scottslawn secondary

Honda must be very full of autoracks right now, but I’ve still yet to see or hear of any full autorack trains going in or out of the facility. I couldn’t believe they left all those racks in Willis siding in Marysville, they had 5 trains on the line in about 3 hours or so and that would’ve helped wi...

Re: CSX scottslawn secondary

What looked like Q310 just went south through Marysville at 11:40 am, that’s the first time I’ve seen it in daylight for quite some time, so you must be right about all the time changes, maybe this means more trains in daylight even if there is less trains overall.

Re: CSX scottslawn secondary

I was gonna mention the same thing. Q311 has been running either very early or very late, tonight it’s coming through after 7:30 and it’s at CP Mounds as of this typing waiting on H708 who is going into the highway siding to let Q147 out and Q311 by. Very busy night for the dispatcher. The other thi...

Re: CSX scottslawn secondary

Where at in Marysville do they unload these high and wide loads? I’m just curious because there’s a small passing siding in downtown Marysville by the CSX yard offices that they may be able to unload at, but then there’s also Peoria, and on older CSX timetables the old line to Marion was marked AEP,...

Re: CSX scottslawn secondary

Yeah, the past couple days have been a little slower than the rest, last week had a few busy days. On the 20th I went out after hearing Q311 was going to be held in Willis siding in Marysville for two southbounds. The first was N312, loaded coal, and the second a G797 with a mixture of covered hoppe...

Re: CSX scottslawn secondary

Thanks for the update on the train symbols, they come in very handy when out in search for trains on the Scottslawn! About the grain trains, I believe the new Marysville Ag campus/ Heritage cooperative is the only unit grain train provider on the line because unfortunately with the building of that ...

Re: CSX scottslawn secondary

Thanks for the info, I did hear Honda would be shutting down and figured it would only be a matter of time before the trains stopped running into there. I guess there’s 3 or 4 trains that run into there and switch on a daily basis but I’ve only heard Q203 and Q231.

Re: CSX scottslawn secondary

I’ve been trying to keep track of all the trains currently running on the Scottslawn and figured I’d share what I’ve found over the past couple months here. Scheduled trains: I believe Q310 is an early bird and heads south to parsons before the sun rises. There’s a Y103 that switches industries down...

Thanks! I’ll have to try and make it up that way and check it out! Does the steel coil facility have a centercab or ge44ton switcher there?

Re: CSX Pemberville Sub train ID question

Thanks for the help! Locomotive number was 3271, it was a single ET44AH with a pretty good sized train in tow. It had some centerbeams up front, tankers in the middle, coil cars, and some boxcars I believe as well as some others.

CSX Pemberville Sub train ID question

Went up to Fostoria Monday and saw a fair amount of trains. Later in the day, around 3:00 pm, a southbound manifest freight came down the Pemberville sub and turned East towards Willard. I was told by a gentleman at the park that it was Q328, I thought it may have been Q386, but that doesn’t run to ...

Re: Ridgeway, Ohio

Thanks for the info. I figured the holiday would affect it quite a bit, but I didn’t know most trains were running at night now on the Branch and secondary, I’ve seen a manifest around 3:00 in the afternoon heading north through Marysville that I’m guessing is q310 or q311. I take it q146 and 147 ru...

Ridgeway, Ohio

I ventured up to Ridgeway today to see what I could find after a failed attempt at finding the H708 local coming into Marysville. Ridgeway was unusually quiet on the Scottslawn and Toledo Branch and the INDY line wasn’t much better, one westbound and one eastbound. Also unusual was I did not see Q00...

CSX scottslawn secondary

Hello everyone I was wondering if anyone would be able to give a list of all the trains currently running on the Scottslawn Secondary. I do know there is the H708 local that switches everyday with the occasional Sunday, but am unsure of what other trains run on the line and about what times they run...
