Okay i looked it up the Wisconsin Central purchased the AC on February 1st 1995 the CN purchased the WC in October of 2001. It was announced today in the Trains News Wire that CN is selling the 296 mile Algoma Central does anybody know what there customer base looks like other than Algoma Steel Products at the Soo on the Canadian Side.

Thank goodness i got up there in August of 2017 i spent the weekend at the Soo. According to Trains News Wire in December next month G&W is shutting it down. Other railroads are interested tho. I would imagine the power will probably be dispersed to other G&W properties.

Today it was announced in the Train's News Wire that the ND&W is receiving 4.1 million dollars of Federal money to replace 10 miles of main track with 132 to 136 pound rail from 80 pound rail and replace 29 thousand ties between Woodburn Indiana and Defiance Ohio wow.

Years ago i used to have a run from Eaton Axle in Henderson Ky to Spartan Motors in Charlotte empty racks down and racks loaded north with fire truck axles straight to the plant in Charlotte from 1991 to 1996 many moons ago.
