Kanawha River Railroad
Anyone have a schedule on the WV secondary I'd like to catch them on the road. Is there even a regular schedule? I finally saw them in Watkins yard this afternoon doing some switching.
Thanks

Scotts - Marysville
Swung by today and noticed some new track work. South of Scottslawn road they have added 3 tracks that parallel the street. Looks like they are also extending the siding so they dont have to go on the main when switching the plant.

HAHA! Former is a hybrid of foamer. Former just won't let go of the past and still sees some sort of hopeless dream that their favorite rail line will return to a glory it never had. The Peavine and the former B&O Ohio Division are both prime examples of both. You try and explain 15 to 20 times why ...

Re: NS Peavine talk
I swear there is no more room up here in Columbus for Distribution centers! The Rickenbacher area is packed every possible open plot of land has been or is being built up with new DC's absolutely incredible! NS is going to be adding more track capacity at their intermodel terminal. The wind has been...

Re: Buckeye Line happenings, Columbus, Ohio
Saturday at Noon caught a local with 3115 running long hood forward pulling 1 load of lumber and about 10 hoppers northbound into the siding at RT161 near Plain City. Just as it pulled into the siding a southbound coal train was on the main headed south it stopped for 15-20 minutes before continuing...

Re: Buckeye Line happenings, Columbus, Ohio
I would also be interested in the Scottslawn line as I live fairly close and lately I've been hearing a fair amount of trains. Its possible this is just the winter in which I can hear them better but seems like a lot more.

Re: Looking for..........
I live about ten minutes away and moved here in 2005 way too late I would have loved to see CR heading through Plain City in the early 80's. I think it would actually be a viable line today. The one thing I cant find is any pictures of CR in Plain City.

Re: Ohio Rail Plan 2017
The ORDC needs to work with as many smaller manufactures and companies to work through transloads sites or help locate business rail side and maximize potential for rail. Lets maximize Ohio's position as a national distribution center. Pennsylvania's model has been good for infrastructure improvemen...

HAHA! Thats funny. I live a few miles from the Scottslawn and I hear trains all the time. I'm not moving because I hear that and I live a few miles away! We have become so whiny! Maybe they should have looked at maps, walked around asked neighbors before they moved in.

Re: NS Peavine talk
Hopefully they locate somewhere else in Ohio? The possible Mt. Orab business approached my friend through the Port Authority in October. They told him then that they would decide in February 2017. They asked him to remove 20 acres of trees so they wouldn't have to deal with environmental red tape. G...

Not shots Captain it was just a blanket statement I don't know you or any contacts you may have therefore I would not speculate on what people don't know.
