Re: Where Is It?
Where be it? This is definitely out of state. Didn't have to blur out any reporting marks on the black steam loco - looks like it got a coat of paint recently as a previous photo I see of it was a bit rusted out. Was also moved to this location just a few years ago. Modesto Amtrak Station in Modest...

Re: Where Is It?
A Google search for Marinas in one of the cities mentioned that Amtrak stops in that has tracks next to it might help with luck. Not in Illinois, which does not share a border with Michigan. More specifically, not a Continental border. The water pictured can be referred to as a bay as well as part ...

Re: Where Is It?
If I'm thinking of the same location. Wasn't there a rather large coal storage operation located on that site many years ago? Hard to think of where ball diamonds would have been in such a tight residential area on this side of the tracks..... In the Lower Peninsula https://live.staticflickr.com/655...

The CSX train is doubling up at an Internodal Yard. Some where in Kentucky, Tennessee or West Virginia? Or in New York or Florida, North Carolina or South Carolina. The state that its in borders 4 of those states mentioned. It's definitely tucked in there, how did you initially find this? It's a gr...

It was one of those things that I remembered admiring the house in the back ground in my travels. But I could not remember the exact location and DaveO jogged my memory.

Re: Where Is It?
I had a pretty good idea with the silos in the picture but having the BWP trailer helped put it all together. That was a really good location you found.

Re: Where Is It?
It is not a short line. If you look close there is an old code line pole in the ROW. I also erased the milepost which would have given the location away. If I posted a photo from this crossing many people here would immediately know the location. It used to be 2 tracks. There is an old box car sitt...

It is pretty close but actually between the two. I know where it is but I will let AARR find it.AARR wrote:Yes, Algonac is what I meant
If it isn't Algonac my next guess is New Baltimore.Michael wrote:AARR was pretty close with his guess of Algonac. That is what you meant right?
