Re: ADBF/JAIL Changes Made Under New Ownership

Great video! From info I have gathered from a few sources: CN did not want to handle the unit trains to and from the elevator. Supposedly, CN required the elevator to ship at least 500 cars a year, and they were barely handling shipping half that number. Also, The Andersons ethanol plant in nearby A...

Re: Hamilton Northwestern Railroad Co.

I wonder what the range is on a transload site such as this. 15-20 miles? I thought I read somewhere‘s on RailRoadFan.com that the WMI was transloading apples that were transported up to Traverse City Michigan for Gogo Squeez. So who knows what the actual range on a transload site could be. Here’s ...

Re: CN says goodbye to Baraga

When was the last time Baraga actually had a rail served customer? I have always wondered about that. By the way, go get ‘em Mike H (regarding transload opportunities - if anyone can, it’s Mike H!!) I believe the last customer was Beese which loaded pulpwood behind the now closed Terex Handlers pla...

Endeavor was already a joint venture between Ceres Solutions and Co-Alliance. Interesting development nonetheless.

King steel built a new track into their plant south of Baldwin along Holly Rd. You can only see the switch installed at Newark on Google Earth. The imagery is out of date. Even the new Magna plant is still a forest.

Re: Unidentified Alco road switcher/KLSC passenger car.

In the better-than-expected news department, I don’t believe the MC/NYC RPO car was scrapped. I’m 99% sure it’s the one at the National NYC RR Museum in Elkhart. I was not expecting to have a reason to reference a random NYC Museum newsletter I just happened to come across recently for this thread,...

Re: ADBF/JAIL Changes Made Under New Ownership

Does anyone know the GTW road number of the former RPO that was retrieved from the end of the line the other week and brought down to the interchange? Is it also going to CPMY with the coaches? I’d like to do a little research on it and have a soft spot for postal rail equipment. The numbers are co...

Everywhere West Locomotive Leasing (EWLX) was apparently the previous operator of the BNGR. They are not related to BUGX.

No, shuttle wagon is not permanent. It was returned as soon as we got our locomotive. Also the scrap yard has no ownership in the RER. The owner of the scrap yard is an equal partner in RER. Prairie Mills is our other customer. Appreciate all of the info! Is the current locomotive LTEX 1434 GP15-1?

Why are you not looking at the Wiki for this? All of your answers are already posted there... The Wiki sucks.
