Up in da up
When UP acquired the cnw did they sell all the former cnw lines in yooperland right away or did they hang on to them for a while? Or did Cn buy that section while up took the rest?

Pm 1225 melon fest
Anyone by chance know when Sri will move the 1225 to Howell this weekend? Or if she'll be under her own power heading down from Owasso? Want to be able to snap some photos going through Durand and cohoctah if possible.

Re: Scanner silent for the last 3 days?
I agree it has seemed dead. Had an increase for a while then all dead last few weeks. Something big went through around 10:10 pm tonight though in fowlerville. Didn't have my scanner on so not sure what it was

Fowlerville 1940s
Trying to model PM through Fowlerville back in the late 30s' and 40s. anyone know of any good places to get historical photos and track layout of the PM in that area? I tried the PMHS but they did not have much.
trying to figure out what customers were here. I'm assuming there was a grain elevator.

Csx Plymouth sub traffic.increase?
Living in Fowlerville with the plymouth sub pretty much in my backyard I've noticed more trains seem to be going through at night. Is there a reason for this? And the local that used to come by every other day to switch out rhetech and asei kasi used to come around 5-6 pm everyday but now seems to c...

Re: Marquette Iron Range Railroad Operations
Ls and I did a Lot of operations at night. At least last year they did while I was living in Palmer. But the mine security will harass you if you are near the line. I will post some pictures of Lsi ore dock operations in marquette when our power comes back

Re: Spring 2017 RRFan Meet???
Probably a little far fetched but maybe start a go find me or something and charter a trip to somewhere by rail? I find it odd that a Michigan railfan meet would happen in another state. I get the rail traffic aspect but let's have some loyalty to our home state. Nrhs does charters, so don't see why...

Re: Palmer MI
A lot of the old roadbeds and even a segment of M35 is under all the piles of overburden and tailings from both Empire and Tilden. The previous mines were small holes and shafts compared to those massive pits and tailing mountains there today. Yeah there's alot in the backwoods heading towards casc...

Palmer MI
Lived in Palmer MI right by the empire mine last year and noticed that there were multiple lines in and around town that were definitely abandoned long ago. RIght next to town was what looked to be a double track main but I'm not sure. there also was a old smelter nearby the tracks in the woods. Smo...

Re: Where do I go from here?
Have you thought about military? i'd recommend National guard or reserves and not active. I did active navy for four years and didn't care for it, But I will say, it opened up a world of opportunity for me when I got out. In fact I would not have the career I have now without the military. I also di...

Re: Would you want a memorial on the spot you died?
If I died in the service and/or saving a person(s) life, then yes, I would like memorial. If I were to die for something stupid on my part, then no way I want a memorial. And for certian I do not wish to have a roadside memorial.
