I am hearing rumors that the Chicago Fort Wayne and Eastern lease won't be extended when its 20 year term comes due next year.
If anyone wants to see it, its on the SEC website of all places.

Re: Porter Junction rail project finally gets green light
Its been a while, and all this stuff was covered in a few threads, but we finally have what may be the DEFINITIVE rear end view of the entire project.

New video, minutes ago.
Sounds like G&W showed up by request and inspected things.

Re: Where/what is this railroad(East Terminal?)? Actual real question.
I don't even think "being a railroad" can help this guy. Since the homeowners association owns the parcel his track, and the active G&W track cross to get to the G&W Ohio Central. Wouldn't take long for a lawyer hired by annoyed homeowners to figure this out. This is likely the real reason for the s...

Re: Where/what is this railroad(East Terminal?)? Actual real question.
I have watched the series of videos. I didn't even know anything above and it took me about 15 minutes to figure out where they were using the clues in the video. Ohio plates. East Terminal (well it's east of something) The mentioned Conrail. I could hear jets, but not only jets, BIG jets on close a...

A new 110th street has been cut over as part of a new intermodal pad that replaces the old triple crown facility there.

Re: Pine Jct switches and crossovers removed
The Pine to 501 connection was part of the original passenger route into the City. It’s a mess to try an explain, but the B&O crossed over the NYC to go over the canal at hick on its own bridge, it then crossed the river next to the PRR and NYC only to dive under both and connect to the Rock to get ...

I have word that Pullman Junction is waiting on Create EW3 http://www.createprogram.org/BUILD2019/GRANTLINKS/EW3A_Schematics.pdf BRC has opted out of EW3. There will be two new OSes. Stony Island at 512.1 Pullman Junction at 512.2 It also shows how the exiting CRL switches work. Boy that is fracked ...

Re: New Control Point CP Indy at MP B501.5
There is a new control point 116th Street at B509.20 on Main 1 with a single switch to the west, but the screen shows "no track" for the spur. Quick look on the latest Google Earth scan shows a nice clean ballast sub grade from 509.20 to 110 but that is it. Must be part of some future 510 reconfigu...

NS Chicago flexibillity.
All this has been happening in various posts below. But it is clear to me that NS has a goal with all the recent Chicago changes. Trains from the various Chicago endpoints are no longer "locked into a route" What I mean by this is, let's take for example Landers. Trains for that yard were traditiona...

The north south line is CTC. (261 rules) The line west from Schneider is DCS with the exception of CP MJ at Momence IL Speaking of Momence IL (CP MJ) NS on it's "Doctor Evil kick" has installed a relay at CP-MJ I say doctor evil kick, because NS is obsessed right now with controlling and seeing ever...

Re: New Control Point CP Indy at MP B501.5
The approach blocks seem to operate like the Amtrak line at Porter in that the approach bits seem to be one way and artificial conditions sent from the other signal system to the NS system.

Re: New Control Point CP Indy at MP B501.5
Looks like on the CSS&SB side we can see the four signals, the two OS circuits, a request for each track, and an ack for each request.
No approach circuits or views of the dang gauntlet tracks. Probably for the better, they would have been a nightmare.

If you need help figuring out which say the south shore trains are going.
Doesn't show freights. But it should give you a big head start
