The reason MIGN got MP 0 to MP 50 was court action on MDOT for lack of payment, MIGN went into receivership, and bought out - later by WATCO!

I have in my a picture of UTLX 80209 1972 era by David Woodruff in Dundee Cement paint, they also had 70 ton cars with Dundee Cement similiar to Ann Arbor RR cars.

The Track they were running on until 1932 via lease from NYC or LS&MS, the NYC own the track, LS&MS operating assignment at that time.

This is way many cities require a boiler operator based on the type on boiler you are going to operate - I was one the licensed operator - operating at 2600 psi. The first stage of the yard was built, the West side of the yard was not, nor was the engine house and water and coaling. Hallet tower had many interchange railroad connections to handle, the west yard had as many planned for it.

It does look like the bridge and the paint on the engine is similar to a Ann Arbor RR engine, but this appears to be one of the Wabash engines leased by Ann Arbor RR - its missing the white edge on the walkway that Ann Arbor engines carried to indicated they where equipped for passenger service.

Probably because 329 was a SD45 and is a re-built on a SD45 frame and body as a SD40-2, 382 is a SD40 rebuilt as SD40-2

Normal run on events that need two trains, its the most expense engine to run - so it -it runs less. If the newer passenger car need less power to pull so the smaller engines can handle more people. Diesel can handle unknown problem which do happens.
