It seems to me that NS ordered these with "4,000 HP" since they didn't want standard "4,400 HP" to save fuel! The 1,000+ "Catfish Units" should be as I mentioned....... "C40-9W!!!!" Correct me if I am wrong!!!![/color] :| All NS Dash 9s have been upgraded to 4400 hp since being purchased.

I'm no expert but engines that go south to Toledo can either return north on a 391 to Battle Creek via the Holly and Flint subs, or on a 382 to Port Huron. Not sure which is more likely. 398 with CN 3053, 2934, and JLCX 1238 through Attica at 6:47 PM.
323 with CN 5667, an SD60, and an SD70M-2 through Lapeer at 7:34 PM.

D711 went through Attica on the CN at 5:46 PM with CSX 4420, 7745, and 1221.

322 and 323 are fairly new Flint Sub trains with 322 being westbound and 323 being eastbound.
