Two other good sources of information on the number of trains: The Association website has Ralph Matthies trip logs that date into the early 1970's Bob Warricks book (has photos of the LV C420's) In terms of exotic power don't forget the PC coal trains that ran up from Toledo, through Owosso and the...

I'll have to dig through my files but I took photos of the area around the station back in the early 1980's maybe just after the last great flood. I was thinking of building a layout that feature the station, lumber yard etc. I'll see if I can find the photos and post them

I spent two periods in Midland one in the early 1960's (63-66) and then my teenage years (72-78) and have a couple memories. One is of two serious floods that covered the station and lumber yard next to it. Once back in the 1960's and the other in the 1980's. The other is a true Michigan memory of h...
