Re: IORY south end part five.
The Navistar frame traffic has been totally gone for well over a year. They moved everything out of Glen Echo and Trinity moved in. Tech II has not moved their transload, it is still happening out there and cars are being staged for them in Springfield Yard. As for the pig iron traffic going away......

IORY south end part five.
There have been some changes in the Springfield and Urbana areas on the IORY. Over on the Urbana Sub, Ive been told that due to the slow assembly and sales of Navistar cutaways, the number of frames being brought to the Glen Echo transload have slowed down to a crawl to the point of dissapearing. An...

Re: The port of monroe-containers?
My god, the hype for these containers is so forced, absurd, and unrealistically high.

Re: Carleton, MI railfan meet
I dont know about you but it doesnt take a non michigan resident to know that Carleton wouldve been a great hotspot maybe say 15-25 years ago even 30 when you had a least 15-25 trains on csx in addition to the conrail trains that came off the LIncoln Secondary. Then you had the grand trunk which hos...

Re: MMRR to cease operations in 2025?
Star of the West has multiple plants around the thumb that get service buI don't know how busy they are. The one in Gera seems pretty busy and they have a transload for Frankenmuth customers. Lately the MAC Elevators in Marlette and Brown City having been shipping unit grainers out like crazy for cs...

Re: MMRR to cease operations in 2025?
Guessing this means that trains will be originating out of the Bay City/Saginaw area then? No need to keep a geep in the house at Alma. Wonder if the Alma interchange will also be a thing of the past minus unit trains. Are there even any active customers in the Alma area? Maybe it'll give the HESR ...

Re: MMRR to cease operations in 2025?
Well lets start with the agri traffic on the line and well start with ethanol plant in Caro and the sugar plant there too. tttleshe shuttles of ddg and ethanol should keep them very busy. The elevator at Colling is inactive at this time. Over on the Denmark Branch I can imagine that both of the star...

Re: IORY Washington Courthouse
The new current yard staging all the traffic is called Konrad. At the very west end of Konrad is where the two railroads used to meet was called Fayne. The old yard towards town was called the Handy Track and the other old yard with the Pennsy and the B&O is called Potter.
