Are they keeping the power in Hamilton? I'll be out that way next weekend and would like to get some photos for PM Tracks.
'probably wander out to 64th Street, too, to see whether anything's left of the caboose out there (PM A566) after the deal with Chris Cook ended sadly.

Yes, Graydon Meints is Don Meints. "Don" is how some of his friends referred to him.
He was a genuinely nice guy and a giant in the study of rail history.

Re: 2022 Train Shows
Do they still have that show at the MBT Expo Center at the Monroe County Fairgrounds? I remember that one was usually a fair, sometimes good show that I almost always enjoyed going to. That show hasn't been held for a long time, now. At least five years, I think. It was what was left of the old Mau...

The P&BR equipment is in Fairview on the Au Sable Valley Railroad, about 40 minutes' drive east of Grayling, just off of M-33. The railroad was sold by the Schraders and the new owner has plans to put it back into service, but has run into difficulties- see https://mavrailroad.com for an update from...

Re: Since we're showing off motive power...
Thanks, guys! This project started out with the idea of making two GP35s to augment the two we already had. I got a good deal on a pair of Kato GP35s at a train show in early 2019. Later that summer, I was offered four more undecs at a very good price from an estate that a friend was liquidating, so...

Cause of Grand Ledge freight house fire?
I've dug around a bit in the usual fairly obvious places, but I have not seen any report identifying the cause of the Grand Ledge freight house fire last year. I'm putting together a brief article on it as I try to get recent-ish news caught up in PM TRACKS , but I'm missing this rather important pi...

That will be the second railroad display that has been in the Harbor Springs area.
In the early 1970s, an 0-6-0, a work car and a caboose were displayed along M-119 on the way into Harbor Springs. Does anyone know the fate of this equipment?

Even if CP re-routed over the Plymouth Sub, they'd still be at the mercy of NS once they got to Porter.

The last rail in the pavement at the former Spring Street grade crossings (in front of the old Ford plant) was removed over the past couple of weeks.
When I went through there this afternoon, they had the first layer of asphalt down where the westernmost spur had been.
