Re: My 4x8 layout

I see you used cork sheet in a couple spots, Make sure you have a good way to hold that down when you do scenery. I've got some cork sheet under my yard and when I started doing scenery it swelled up and now I have ripples in the middle of my yard. I've been removing as much sheet as I could before ...

Don't worry, SD80MAC pointed that out. I wondered when how long before you pointed that out

Re: HBD @ 142.9

You are right Milinemike the HBD at 142.9 has been at that location since the 80's when the line was still double track. the new one at 129.8 and 155.6 are new and give the speed. But 142.9 gave the speed for one day no big deal I guess. Also the diamond at Schoolcraft is rumored to be replaced for...

Where is it at? Not Hot Box Detectors give speeds
At MP 142.9. To answer the question, I don't think there is any reason it doesn't give the speed

Not all of LSRC/D&M 975 is gone forever. Today I picked up from a friend, the Horn that 975 wore when she worked for D&M and maybe B&M(I can't confirm the B&M Part) When I get a chance, I will try to get a recording of the horn

Re: G&G Trains

If you are into N its the place to go. Lots of stuff, good prices, He also had a decent G scale selection. Its not too hard to find, but it is run out of the Gary's garage so you'll end up driving up his driveway towards his house.

You can get Tsunamis for around 80-100 per decoder. Keep in mind you'll need to speed match it with other engines as Tsunamis tend to run fairly fast

Re: SP 4449 Harlem Shake

What Doyle has done to that PA is incredible, it was a basket case, a frame and that's it, no sheet metal, electricals, trucks, air system, controls, nothing but a nose and a frame. There are only 2 in the US and the other is in worse condition than this one was when started. http://nkp190.com/ The...

You're going to be spending all your time trying to get cars that have derailed, rather than enjoying your layout. Practice Safe CSX Th...
