Re: Crazy Topic - G&W in Michigan

That’s mostly due to the Sanity Killer, know best as the Sperry and Geometry trucks and the “defects” they find. Tying back to the OP if G&W would divest some of its Michigan assets. In general private equity posts better returns the public corporations. They hold higher profit expectations and are ...

Re: CSX Train Location Updates: June, 2019

I’ll answer both questions, yes 6005 is in Boxcar paint and at the west end of the even yard facing east with an Sd40-2. Boxcaring power usually means it’s dead in tow and the only air lines connected are the train lines. The main res, actuate and independent brake lines are not hooked up to the oth...

Re: Port Inland Railroad

Might check it out this year. I think I tried it once but the road got real bad and had to turn around not sure if it was the same one though.. The road leading to that crossing is primarily used by trucks and most likely will be less then adequate from what I’ve been told by a friend of mine that’...

Re: Port Inland Railroad

The IMRR 81 to my knowledge never went to Port Inland and I know for sure wasn’t part of the group sold to LTEX. 81 went from the Indiana Southern to Marquette Rail where we had it for a few years. The summer of 2018 it was sold to KLWX and from there it was repainted and sold to Cargill. Folks, I h...

That was 149, he came out of the tunnel around 1700 and after customs and I presume a pick up that would be why he was still there.

Re: CN SD60F Status?

Last I knew only 1 60F was in use, some of the C40-8M's have come out of storage recently. The main killer for the Barns Hoborich was the order of all the ET44AC's that showed up over the year.

Re: Pine Junction incident vastly changes the security

if you guys haven't realized this crap happens every couple years because people are retarded. Cops go hot & heavy for a while and then nothing for years sooo yeah don't get all excited just let it run its course. Plus Pine sucks for photos just a decent place to sit, lots of other areas move on for...

Re: Port Inland Railroad

With one train currently running i would imagine they are running a lot, they have about a hour and a half round trip time at the public crossing from what i have been told. A lot of ships have loaded there the last couple weeks so that keeps them busy hauling rock. Current power it OPT 2030 a SD20,...

149 just came out of the tune and is entering tunnel yard. A dash 9 and a 8800 sd70M-2 for power quite a long train as usual. 148 is waiting for their turn to go into Canada eh.

Re: YUMA Sand Closing

Also Fairmount Materials owns plants in Wi and MN that are much more efficient and are also newer with higher output capabilities. I don't see this being the end of the line. Here a few years ago the railroad invested a lot of Money into the siding and main at Yuma. I see someone trying to buy that ...
