Interurban/Trolley Car
Looking to acquire or have a pre-1925 era interurban car donated for a display. This would be for a small museum in northeast Ohio that is dedicated to preserving and educating individuals on the history that interurbans had on the development of the area. We have 150 feet or more of track on displa...
Re: Tootles
The bridge will require a decent investment of funds to mostly replace bridge ties and general structural maintenance to safely hold the weight of a locomotive and rolling stock. There are a few street crossing repairs to be made, culvert repairs, passenger car maintenance and some locomotive work. ...
Re: Toodles
This thread will probably be deleted soon as they usually do when someone tries to start negative publicity for the RR. However, there are several hardworking members who pour a lot of time and money into the line and equipment. These members have a love for railroading and a love for the TLEW. As y...

Re: Grand River Railway
I’ve read a few rumors on Facebook that there has not been any movement on the GRRY in several months. They certainly have more active and less active times of the year when hauling salt. I would imagine late fall and winter would be slower. Anyone have any insight on this?

Are there any photos or videos of any trains crossing Route 6 before the crossing removal?

B&O Derailer Unearthed
I located a derailer along the old B&O Lake Branch line near Concord, Ohio. The line has been abandoned since 1981, tracks removed around 1982. Originally the line ran from Fairport Harbor to Youngstown, Ohio. This particular one has a patent date of 1910 embedded on it. I do not see an area where a...

Re: Return of the T&OC- Stony Ridge
It’s been a few years for this thread...is there still some activity in Stony Ridge on the short section of track that was rehabilitated? Can anyone confirm if the crossing signals are functional? I know they replaced one of the signals that was hit by a car A few years ago, but the relay cabinet ap...

Re: Zanesville & Western Scenic RR
According to the Z&W Scenic RR’s Facebook page, they have been shut down by the ORDC until further notice citing that there are no safety violations, but that brush needs cleared near East Fultonham before operations can resume. Re: New connection near Vermilion
Thanks for the update Fred. A lot of track work, tie replacement, and crossing replacement has been occurring on the NKP line in Lorain and Cuyahoga Counties. I wonder if they're gearing up for an increase in trains with the connector coming online (hopefully) soon.

Curious to see if any progress has been made in the last six months in regards to the EB Chicago onto the EB NKP connector just west of Vermilion.

Toledo & Western - Sylvania
Does anyone know of or have any photos of the Toledo & Western headquarters that once were housed in Sylvania, Ohio? I was tracing the line using Historic Aerials and did not realize that the underpass still exists where the Toledo & Western once ran underneath the New York Central. The topo maps sh...

On my drive over the turnpike today I noticed brush on both ends of the bridge has been recently been cleared along the ROW. Most likely to give access for equipment to move in.

Last update on this thread in June was that the EB Chicago onto the EB NKP connector had not yet been connected. Has there been any updates on this connector? I was there today and there is absolutely ZERO progress since June on the connection. bdconrail29 thank you for reporting back on the connec...

I’m sure this has been said before, but why not ship directly to Campbell’s via rail again? The bridge is there. I realize the facility sits on top of the old ROW, but could it be reconfigured?

Re: NYC Elmore Branch
I’m curious about a very small stretch of the line that dead ends about a quarter of a mile past the Route 20/6 bypass. Was this small segment of rail re-laid from the bypass to help build the energy plant? Or is this original rail that had been spared?
