Scooterb, That "interchange" shows up on a topo map posted by the DNR. That map is about thirty years old, so it appears to have been there for some time. If we're on the same page, the connection would be at the west end of the Olds plant. The line from there runs north to Ensel yard, so it appears...

Chris,

If you ever come across information on a 1905 wreck between Traverse City and Acme let me know.

My grandfather was a PM engineer, and was killed in that one. Locomotive and tender were backing when it derailed. That's as much as I know about it.
