So heading to Alma tomorrow. When does the GLC work the Ithica plant

Last night while heading south on the Southfield Freeway I noticed a lot of smoke coming from the direction of the industrial yard at Southfield and I -96. Was their a fire at the yard?

Was ferry traffic really on the decline at that time or was it still healthy?

I thought Little River did a once in a blue moon revenue run for freight. Or am I thinking of another tourist line.

When did the ferry service stop and Ann Arbor sell everything north of its current end of line.

So I was checking out Satellite imagry of Coldwater, Mi. I notice it appears their are three companies with spurs, one looks to be a factory, one a grain silo type site. Who switches these? I don't think it is the Little River, but I could be wrong.

I was in Alma the other day and it looks like Mid Michigan is storing even more cars by where the refinery use to be. Anything special going on in the area? Also in Ithaca a new string of cars is by the new Soy Bean facility off of 127. Is there any news on expected rail service for that area that w...

So the factory I passed on the freeway is it closed or operating. Also why did it not use more rail service?

I still see a signal crossing at Riverside Drive when I took a river cruise.

It has the potential, since it is intermodal, to increase Muskegon Rail Traffic.

Anyone have pictures of the Packard yard and the Ford plant when trains were actually operating on it? In all my years living in the area I never got to see a train go North of Hall Road. What were the consists and how often did they go? Any info and pictures would be great.

Are there any active riverfront customers up by Bell Isle. Such as the place with the huge silos?

When did the Plant along 496 stop receiving and shipping by rail? Looks like all the tracks were paved over or ripped up. Also why did that happen?

That is exactly what I am talking about. The Airline went right by there. There were also gravel pits in Rochester south east of where the New York Central and GT crossed. I saw an arial picture of it but I was hoping someone had pictures or a track layout of either operation.
