Last night while heading south on the Southfield Freeway I noticed a lot of smoke coming from the direction of the industrial yard at Southfield and I -96. Was their a fire at the yard?

Cold Water
So I was checking out Satellite imagry of Coldwater, Mi. I notice it appears their are three companies with spurs, one looks to be a factory, one a grain silo type site. Who switches these? I don't think it is the Little River, but I could be wrong.

Anyone have pictures of the Packard yard and the Ford plant when trains were actually operating on it? In all my years living in the area I never got to see a train go North of Hall Road. What were the consists and how often did they go? Any info and pictures would be great.

When did the Plant along 496 stop receiving and shipping by rail? Looks like all the tracks were paved over or ripped up. Also why did that happen?

That is exactly what I am talking about. The Airline went right by there. There were also gravel pits in Rochester south east of where the New York Central and GT crossed. I saw an arial picture of it but I was hoping someone had pictures or a track layout of either operation.
