Re: DR&EC

Well, life has since caught up, and I haven't had much time to update my railroad (pretty evident since the last post was in September). I've also sort of lost interest in the paper railroad business, which is why I'll be "selling" off my railroad. While you're railroads won't actually be bidding, j...

This is probably the best definition of foamer:

Re: Unstoppable on TV

.........This was based on a true event, and paints a real industry as really unsafe with no intention of avoiding those depicted events...... Exactly, based. Many movies are "based" on a true story, yet practically none of them will ever follow what happened in the real event. Had Unstoppable been...

Guess I wasn't clear enough... Was just looking for places IN Delray where there it is a lot of action. I frequent Wyandotte and Trenton, but am just looking for a different change of pace in terms of railfanning.

Re: Anyone still go to Delray?

Can anyone give me an address or something to where they go and see a lot of action in Delray? I'd like to give it a try but don't know where to start. I'm going to be very honest and say that if you aren't even sure where Delray is then its not the place for you. That part of Southwest Detroit is ...

Sorry for getting back to you so late, but you are correct! The track eventually makes it to Zug island, but goes through Great Lakes Steel first... Still correct

Re: Where am I?

Is this south of the DTE Trenton loop track next to CN's Edison Yard still in Trenton? Not quite... Think the other direction :D I'll try Wyandotte but not sure which road :? Now you went a little too far north  It's the Harrison street crossing in downtown Trenton. Since that was a tough one,...

Yep, Trenton DTE coal loop track.

Here's another one, not sure how easy it'll be.

Hint: it's in the same area as the last one

Re: NS 9533 Engine Trouble (Broken Wheel) Gibraltar MI 3/5/1

I saw the tail end of this train at the Vreeland road crossing (though that was wierd because I've never seen a train parked there), so I went down the Gibraltar road crossing (where I assume this was filmed from) and saw the front of the train. Just thought it had a red signal or something, so I di...

Re: Merri-7 Trains to Close and Relocate

Just stopped by the new shop earlier today. Just a bit bigger than the old one. Still have the same great selection and friendly service as before. I was there for nearly an hour checking out the selection and deciding what to buy. Took me over an hour to get there, as the freeways were all backed u...

Definitely the airport. I'd just love to be around planes all day :D (and you didn't specify whether I'd be on the ramp or in the air-conditioned terminal, but I assume you mean ramp. Either way, it's the airport  ) Would you rather live without television or without music for the rest of your ...

Re: MoTown Commuter Rail

The DR&EC's plan of a commuter system is still in place. The only destination interfering is Toledo, but we are willing to drop it and allow MTRC to serve it. Other than that, you can have trackage rights over any of our track, at a fee of course, and the MTRC trains will be among the low priority ...
