There is a road just west of the main yard which used to cross but was recently closed, which should still yield good views of the west end. Towards the east end there is an overpass with good views of the east end. (grammar edit) The closed crossing is Range Line road, and the overpass is Liberty ...

I was under the assumption they won the contract CSX has.

They are about the same, 5-10 trains a day or so. I would recommend going to Cooke Road on the north side of town just off I-71. CSX doesn't run much there, but the NS is busier.

I'm pretty sure that's where the bridge operator parked/used to park.

A FYI for anybody going to Deshler/Fostoria and going via I-75 there is a lot of construction going on. Be prepared for delays or use an alternative route.
