Dave - I won't know if I'm going until after work on the 15th. If I go I'll be happy to bring it but cannot be counted on for organizing.

I figured his luck would run out someday but never in my wildest imagination would I have predicted he'd be stung by a sting ray. I thought one of those croc's would get him one of these days.

There's an unofficial MIGN Society. As far as I'm concerned Pat C is the Pres (but he may deny it :) Right now it consists of once or twice a year lunch's in which usually a former MIGN employee will show up and tell stories. If you keep an eye on the website I posted you'll be in the loop and know ...

I believe it's either MacSteel or Worthington Steel. Worthington gets steel coils and Mac gets steel bar.

I've had some very enjoyable early morning jogs close to railroad ROW's. My last one was the entire TSBY from the east side of Sans Yard to about 1 mile north on the Oakley Branch. It's not always easy staying within sight of the tracks from public property but it's always worth the effort.

Patrick - Go to the off the topics board and read about you can't believe what you see. As you know you can believe less of what you read. As the story Owlcaboose posted reads it's wrong how the home owners were treated. However, I don't believe what we read was the whole story. It's from the home o...

From what I've read the Michigan utility plants burn mostly western coal with a little eastern mixed in. I believe the most common ratio I've seen is approximately 70-75% western coal and 25-30% eastern.

I'm not an insider so I may be wrong.

Hey Patrick - Do you have a handle on the typical train operations of SBS? They probably have trains that go Saginaw-Paines, Saginaw-Midland, Saginaw-Bay City, and Saginaw-Flint. But do you know what time these trains come on duty? What their typical shift is? Do they ever have one crew cover two of...
