Re: TSBY location help
Could the white depot looking building on the left possibly be the MC freight depot then?
According to this 1909 Sanborn map, it was approximately where the 4 large elevator silos are now.

Re: Ex-NS B32-8s in Lansing
sorry, "stone yard" was meant to reference the yard where the stones are, ie the Stoneco Facility, not a yard named "Stone Yard"

Re: Michigan Date Nail Areas
I have seen the nails for sale at swap meets.
Where would they most likely be in a tie?
Should I be looking on the end, or in the top facing up?
thanks

Re: Michigan Date Nail Areas
Have never found one,or seen one in a tie.
I always like to look at the old ties when on a rail-trail.
where exactly on the tie should I be looking?
Thanks

Re: Michigan Cabooses
Caboose is in same spot, beside their house. The trees have just grown up around it, I imagine when the leaves come out it will be a lot more hidden.

Re: Lansing Boxcars
Just a Lansing note (not boxcar)
They have the road blocked at JAIL crossing North St @Turner, either removing or repairing the tracks there.
as of last night, it looked like the rails were still there.
If repairing, I would assume they are going to finally start service Friedland??
