Pioneer Lines (former Railcorp) has done a nice job under the new ownership slowly rebuilding the ND&W. Besides the Elkhart and Western they snagged a nice grant for their Gettysburg and Northern line in PA.

I could have put this in the history section. I can remember when railroads used boxcars as billboards to advertise their service.

Just wondering if the big trucking are putting more trailers on railcars and more intermodal. Ditto shortlines vs local trucking.

It would be interesting to look at total tonnage carried over the Plymouth Sub the past 20 years.

I assume the Plymouth Sub is profitable so why would CSX want to get rid of it? GLC interchange at Ann Pere has grown

Question for Tom and others. There was a meet at Trowbridge on Saturday. I noticed both trains had steel coil cars more than I had seen on past CSX trains in the Lansing area. Is there a reason for this? Thanks in advance.
