On another note....these NIMBY's that complain about the smell....that mill has been there for years. Most likely the smell has actually...

Re: Pfizer Hoppers

19 years ago, when I worked there as a contractor, they had 4 privately owned 70T hoppers. I worked in Blg 41 for almost 7 years and I saw them mostly use CR/NS 3 and 4 bay 100T hoppers. They did unload and reload coal into their own hoppers but I never saw them actually placed in or near the Powerho...

Re: Propsed Steel manufacturing in/near Durand

Yes, obviously not IN downtown Durand. Plenty of land in every direction along the railroads tho. This is not information I take lightly or share lightly and the source is above my pay grade and very reliable. Same source I used when the Grayling Auroco board plant was proposed, along with a proposed...

Propsed Steel manufacturing in/near Durand

Just heard that there may be an extensive steel mill going up near Durand. Looking to acquire 4 square miles of land.

From my end, I'm a Labor Representative. Barton Malow out of Detroit has the project and will be using a National Maintenance Agreement which is good news for the local trades. Huge job, good for the area. Will post more if the interest is there.

The CRHS wants everything they can get but they aren't going to be funding the trip back to PA.

Re: Conrail H43 class Hoppers

Thanks for the info so far.

The only time I paid attention to any type of open hopper load was for Pfizer. They would get 3 and 4 bays, both CR and NS..

Thanks guys!
