Dreary Sunday Morning
Came across a little free time this morning, so I left the house around 0700 and headed for the Indy Line. Crossing the 56th Street bridge, I saw a line up for a westbound on track 1. I raced to Oaklandon to try and get him at the park but after 15 minutes of waiting, I packed up and continued on my...

1646- Q218: CSX 7338/7875: 1754- Q377: UP 7413/7132/CSX 6126: 1646 - at the 0:43 mark it looks like one of those little tank cars that shows up in Adrian from time to time. Or maybe it just looks small cause its next to the large LPG tank car. 1754 - about a handful of domeless tank cars around the...

Evening on the Indy Line
After having not been out for a couple weeks, I decided to take advantage of the nice weather on Sunday evening. Arriving at around 4:40pm to McCordsville, it only took about 5 minutes before I heard Q218 call clear at MP 269. I could hear his RS3L in the distance. After that, it was another hour be...

Re: LIRC Fleet Makeover
I think they should keep their old scheme and keep this unit as a "one of a kind." Makes it cooler to catch.

Late Morning on the Indy Line
I left home around 0800 this morning to head out to the Indy Line to try and bag a couple trains. I didn't know I'd literally get a couple. Arriving at 0830, it was too long of a wait before Q008 started calling signals. He rolled by shortly after 0900 and that was it for 3 more hours. At 1215, I wa...

UP 1995 at Westpoint
After receiving a tip of UP 1995 leading 19K, a friend texted me and asked if I wanted to go get them at Westpoint. We arrived at Westpoint just after 2 and it didn't take long before our first train showed up. There would be 5 trains before 19K showed up. We had been reading reports and were thinki...

Re: Indiana Rail Road route to Louisville
I remember hearing that CSX was going to abandon the route from the end of the INRD owned track back into Louisville due to the fact the only trains operating on it was INRD trackage rights trains. Did INRD buy the rest of the line into Louisville or are they no longer able to get into Louisville? ...

FXE 4683 leads the Q132
Got a tip from a friend around 4:30 this afternoon from this friend that a S132 was inbound at Avon with a Ferromex and BNSF duo. After I got word of its departure, I headed out to the Indy Line to catch them. After 15 minutes of nothing, the signal turned green and I heard a GEVO horn way off towar...

Re: IAIS in Joliet
When we were there in December, BICB came through around 2139hrs. CST, which is pretty typical from what I've been told. The next morning we got a SIBI at 0934, but that was an extra so you can't rely on that. However, CBBI was supposebly running mid to late morning through that area.

TORC units on Q218-04
Last Wednesday, I received word that the only 2 TORC SD40's went into Avon on Q219 from Toledo. Ever since then, I have been waiting to hear when they would head back east. After having not heard a thing for a couple days, I decided that tonight would be the night to try and get them. So I took a sh...

There are also spotty grains out of ADM in Beech Grove that go between Anderson and Alex from time to time. Haven't heard of one of those since July though.

They were indeed. 4 locos with the help of the Oakley Switcher. It was an old CP Rail loco, I forgot to record it's number. hauling an assortment of cars, train was about 50 or so cars long. It was tied down for about 90 or so minutes waiting on a new crew. Oakley Switch stayed with them until Plea...

Re: 4 unit LIRC train today
I enjoy your video's and am glad you got a short line! I thought those first two untis were GP50's until I looked them up and saw they were 39-2's like on the AA. Thanks! I enjoy catching shortlines more than Class 1 Railroads. The LIRC is a hard one because they are a week day only operation and s...

4 unit LIRC train today
With it being President's Day, I drove downtown to try and find the LIRC today. Well, as I crossed the tracks I noticed a headlight slowly but surely creeping this way. I was trying to see one of their "new" CEFX geeps, so that was the main objective. I not only succeeded in seeing a CEFX, I also sa...
