Re: NS Locomotive Roster News, Updates & Information Thread

I do not doubt what you said in the least. After all, if NS were to continue with the AC44C6M program, everything between 4650-4800 would have to be renumbered elsewhere. However, as of this time, I still do not see anymore rebuilds coming after 4625. Chris Toth and his NSDash9 website is always ver...

Re: NS Locomotive Roster News, Updates & Information Thread

Where did you get this information from? I was not aware of any further AC44C6M's beyond 4625 so therefore there would be no conflict with the GP59's currently parked above 4650.

Re: Deshler vs. Fostoria - Which Is Busier?

As for the NS in Fostoria, I have never seen freight traffic as light as it currently is. I assume it has to do with routing freight traffic away from Bellevue aside from PSR. You currently have two pairs of double-stacks 217/218 running Charlotte-Chicago and 233/234 running Norfolk-Chicago, plus tw...

Re: Deshler vs. Fostoria - Which Is Busier?

If we are just talking about CSXT, it's pretty darn close. I currently am showing 42 Daily Q-Trains through Fostoria on both the B&O/C&O combined. As for Deshler, I am currently showing 43 Daily Q-Trains through town in all directions. I am unsure of what runs north of Deshler right now though on a ...

Re: CSXT Plymouth Subdivision Never Seen Before Video Footag

While there has been quite a number of new trip videos posted since the last time there was any mention of them here on railroadfan, we have been able to tell by the large amount of views that many have been seeing them. That said, it is most note worthy to mention the last two trips to be posted he...

Re: CSXT Plymouth Subdivision Never Seen Before Video Footag

Two more videos have just been uploaded. One documents the July 1992 C&O Historical Society Convention in Russell Kentucky and Huntington West Virginia showing rare video footage from inside the CSX Russell locomotive facility, the Raceland car shop, and Huntington’s heavy repair diesel shop. Courte...

Re: CSXT Plymouth Subdivision Never Seen Before Video Footag

I have just uploaded another three part trip video from July of 1992 which has a lot of old Conrail footage from Cresson, Horseshoe Curve and Altoona on part one, and winds up at Porter and Burns Harbor after a GTW Battle Creek Shop tour on part 3. Also footage between Toledo and Cumberland and into...

Re: CSXT Plymouth Subdivision Never Seen Before Video Footag

Although this is no longer directly related to the state of Michigan, I have just uploaded 3 new videos taken this past summer along the BNSF Marshall Subdivision in far northwestern Iowa. I bought a house about 500 feet from the tracks and have a wide-open view of the trains from my front porch. Th...

46 Hours In Marion

BL2-1843 and I spent three days at Marion Union Station last week down in Marion, Ohio. We arrived at 6:30am Wednesday morning, April 10 and stayed put for 36 straight hours until 6:30pm Thursday, evening April 11 without missing a train. We then crashed at a local motel out by US-23 and then was ba...

Re: CSXT Plymouth Subdivision Never Seen Before Video Footag

Volume #32 is now available for viewing. This one briefly picks up right where the previous volume ended at Willow Creek diamond in Portage, Indiana. The bulk of the segment however, takes us back to mile post 54.8 in Howell along the CSXT Plymouth Subdivision to close out. One highlight in particul...

Re: CSXT Plymouth Subdivision Never Seen Before Video Footag

Regarding what was said above with city names popping up on the videos as each segment starts - I would love to make that happen! Great idea. I just am not talented enough in this area to make it work. In other words, plain and simple, I don't know how to do it. If anyone out there can give me any t...

We then move briefly to Atlanta's Tilford Yard before spending more time in Cartersville, Georgia. Following this we watch the action in E...
