Just last week or so, seeing Lumber Loads on L301 going west through Bangor, but not coming back east. I'm thinking another new customer for transload in Hartford?? Anybody know?

Just saw the Grand Elk tied down in Wayland. Looks like yesterday's southbound. Must be ran out of time yesterday afternoon.

Wow-just looked back on the Elk leaving Elkhart today. Nice long train. And 2 Reefers today-I have never seen any Reefers on the Elk in a very long time. Anybody have an idea of where they are going????

Thanks for all the Grand Elk postings everybody. I just retired and moved from Ohio to near Wayland. I am a huge GDLK fan and now will have lots of time to chase the Elk. So any and all postings about train location/times are much appreciated!!

Speaking of L301. Has anybody ever made a list of customers in Hartford?? I know it's mostly trans-load. I also just read that they lost the reefer business a while ago. Anybody know??

Just curious. What does Z627 haul. I see it's always tanks & short hoppers. Is it sand perhaps??

Grand Elk north through Byron Center at 4:36pm. WAMX 4206, WAMX 4189 and 26 cars. 10 box cars, 15 covered hoppers and a single tank car. Back south at 7:17pm, 4189, 4206 and about 30 cars. x148 by Mount Clemens depot at 17:30. CN/CN, 57 containers and a mile and a half of bare tables. I looked up this symbol-shows chicago-montreal/halifax. Just curious-why would it go through mt clemens? Anybody know the route?? Thanks for your help.
