Green Oak DD at CH39.1 says 388 axles and 5637 feet. 94 cars probably.

Caught the tail end of a conversation between D706-23 and the RN Dispatcher. The dispatcher asked if they could make Beck Rd. The crew responded with a terse "negative."

Chevy Yard is in Westland, roughly Palmer and Newburgh.

Peaker is just east of Silver Lake Road Crossing. 12 Mile Road should be east of Peaker. Oop. My error... D708-15 picked up two locomotives at Peaker this afternoon on their way back west from South Lyon. 594 & 509. That leaves three locomotives still there. 541+552 and 5103. Departed west from Howell at: 17:55 with 37 cars. I wonder what order they did things in. I saw D708 cross 12 Mile Rd. westbound...

D708-15 done running around and headed westbound out of South Lyon at 4:26pm

Axle count on my earlier post made more sense for 2 locos and 10 cars when I realized what the power was… I don’t get to see 708 much, so I didn’t realize what they were running.

D708 running around in South Lyon. Headed back west through EE South Lyon on the siding at 4:07pm.

When they were eastbound, the Green Oak DD at CH39.1 said 58 axles and 879 feet. Math doesn’t work, so I wonder if they left a loco behind while running around.

Is there any accurate information regarding radio channel information for the UP? I've not seen anything definite, unless I'm missing it somewhere...

D706-10 eastbound through South Lyon at 7:39pm.

Green Oak DD at CH39.1 says 512 axles and 7416 feet. 125 cars by the math.

D708 with a lot of power (5 locos?) just went east through Brighton. Was in a bad spot to see much.

Was in Fowlerville today for business, and heard D708 on the radio headed east around then. May have been them. I'm not sure what work they had to do today.

Called RN dispatcher and discussed low fuel in one of the locos. They’ll figure it out after they get past Plymouth.

Conversation with RN dispatcher sounds like they're only going as far as Lansing... everybody in that conversation sounded confused, though.

Hearing the RN dispatcher talk to D705-04, only hearing one side of the conversation from my radio here in South Lyon. Sounds like they're doing switching of some sort near Stark in Livonia. The D705 that came through earlier must have been D705-03, but I never heard them clearly enough to know for ...

Didn’t hear any signals called, so didn’t get out in time to see the power. Dispatcher called them, asked what their length would be after Lansing. That’s the only time I heard the train symbol.
