Re: Two abandoned Columbus rail spurs

There was another customer on that track- right around where the track curves away from the main (behind the Burger King) was someone that received refrigerated boxcars. Two abandoned Columbus rail spurs

Just last year, I had an internship and I was living in The View On Fifth, an apartment complex in Columbus. Right next to the apartments there is the Fred D. CN / GTW lines in Pontiac

Do you guys know when the lines between Baldwin Avenue and Opdyke Road and Bagley Street to Opdyke Road were torn up? How about the trackage south of Walton Boulevard?

If the Lake Orion plant spur and the is still in use? If not, when was it taken out of service?

Re: LSRC / CSX hoppers in wixom / novi

It appears that the yard that contains the spur leading to Ford's former Wixom Assembly Plant is also used to store wagons. I'm wondering if the lines in the former factory will be refurbished at some point.

LSRC / CSX hoppers in wixom / novi

Just saw a long string of CSXT covered hoppers sitting just west of Beck Road on the LSRC leased CSX line through Novi. Anyone know what that train is for?

So far the land barge record for the GR Sub is 1052 axles, 14000feet and 36000 tons from last nights double N800.
Does anyone have a video on last night's double N800?
