Re: New Athearn HO Announcements

Cool stuff there...really like the WC SD45's! The ATSF SD45-2's also look really sharp. Now if I just had the $$$ to get some of it! :x

Re: Cab Video: Amtrak 353 Hannan Rd collision

Just makes me sick...can't people find something better to do than *try* to beat the train...not only are at least two people dead but also the crew has to live with this forever! Extremely sad :(

Re: Cab Video: Amtrak 353 Hannan Rd collision

Wow...that was chilling! It never ceases to amaze me how stupid people are...can't imagine how terrified the other cars sitting at the crossing where. Thanks for posting the video and link!

Re: Proto 2000 SW9

Hey Ben, It sounds to me like a loose or partly broken wire, really, the ONLY thing you can do is tear the whole thing apart and look for the wire. First, remove the shell and disconnect the wiring from the wire board and remove the weight. Then, remove the trucks and pry off the axle box covers and...

Re: What scale do you model?

Thanks for the comments! As for op sessions, I haven't had any yet, I would like to but am still in the process of getting all the train orders set up. I don't have a track diagram, however, I do plan on making one quick as many people have asked me for one. The layout size is 11' x 20' around the w...

Re: What scale do you model?

I model HO and N scale. In HO scale I model the 1990's era Rio Grande and Espee. In N scale I model the 1955-era Great Northern in Washington. Here are a few photos of my HO scale DRGW/SP layout. http://tracksideacrossamerica.com/images/LAYOUT-ESPEE-1.JPG SP SD40M-2 8613 leading a eastbound coal tra...

Re: FOR SALE :: HO Locomotives and Rolling Stock

Sorry, I actually don't have any GT, GTW or CN power.

I do have a Kato SD40-2 that I can custom paint as UP 3300 if someone is interested?

Thanks ;)

All four sets are in this paint scheme, Brian.

I have all four sets, both the two Gold Line and two standard sets. All cars are in mint condition and have only been used for a short time.

Any other questions please ask!

Re: FOR SALE :: HO Locomotives and Rolling Stock

Yessir, thats the one! Thanks Jon for the photo.

The Athearn RTR GP40X is a really nice locomotive, has a operating strobe on the roof as well as operating headlights w/micro bulbs. Thin handrails and lots of prototype-specific details. Any other questions please feel free to ask.

I'd have to say 1980-1990's...when all the really cool railroads where around, like the D&RGW, SP/SSW and of course the good ole C&NW! As some of you may know, that's the same time period that I model in HO scale.

I've railfanned on Big Ten several times...sure is amazing as well as the Moffat Tunnel itself! As for a track plan drawing, I don't h...

A Few Photos of My Layout

Hello everyone, Here are a few photos of my HO scale Rio Grande-Southern Pacific layout. I model Western Colorado in the late 1980's, early 90's. Scenery is about 90% complete. Layout size is 11' x 20'. Enjoy the pix and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. http://tracksideacrossamerica....
