Re: CSX Train Location Updates - July 2019
W00122 now west at Glenlord Rd/Stevensville. Just how often do these tracks need a geometry train? FRA was just here a few months ago, Sperry has been through since then. Sure, these tracks host Amtrak, but traffic is fairly light overall. Why so often? A bunch of track has been replaced around Har...

Re: West Michigan RR Abandonment Petition Coming
After viewing the new video showing all the new customers and reading the recent STB documents filed by the Lake Cora people, I am wondering what it would take to rebuild past Lake Cora?

Re: West Michigan RR Abandonment Petition Coming
I've looked at the abandoned ROW from Hartford to Paw Paw. Paw Paw has a few possibilities. What potential customers did you see in Lawrence? I would think that they would expand to Lawrence sometime soon especially with the business boom they seem to be having currently. The track ends about two m...

Re: West Michigan RR Abandonment Petition Coming
Paw Paw has been marketing very aggressively for businesses to locate there. They would probably be supportive of any effort to restore rail service. This is just an opinion but I don’t see why the Village and Township of Paw Paw wouldn’t want to try to financially help WMI return rail service to P...

I have been researching this issue for a while but have never been able to come up with a straight answer. I live in South Haven and locally have two rail trails, Kal Haven, and Van Buren, with the latter only having the railroad abandoned a few decades ago. Would it ever be remotely possible for th...

Re: WMI Reconstruction?
Also I have heard from people and seen video of this railroad giving rides. If someone on this forum works for WMI or if someone has the email of the owners I would love to know how I could get a ride sometime! This the video? u85zVVU2fSg Video by Mark Parren Update: I reached out to the gentleman ...

WMI Reconstruction?
This is my first post to this forum and I want to find out some more information on the current status of WMI. The other thread about the abandonment of this line has been very helpful with some recent information and history of this line. I live in Van Buren County very close to WMI and have seen i...
