Had a nice time watching my daughter with her students at their horse show. That is her element.
@ Jetlink « Sat 12:06:33 pm »
So I have had wild turkey. It is often served in a tumbler of ice. Some people like to mix it with coke. Either way it really isn’t that good and gives you a headache a few hours later if you have too much.
@ Michael « Sat 11:04:22 am »
What do you suppose a wild turkey tastes like?
@ AARR « Sat 10:01:38 am »
Yes, she does. I think she’s an independent and is her own turkey.
@ Jetlink « Sat 9:44:14 am »
Interesting behavior for a turkey for sure. We have several flocks foraging the area. Never observed that sort of behavior. Does she have a Scarlett letter on her front?
@ AARR « Sat 9:34:44 am »
I’m not sure why she does not belong to a group of other turkeys like they usually do but I have never seen her with others
@ AARR « Sat 9:33:17 am »
Some days Thelma will spend hours in our yard eating under the bird feeders, drinking from the water dishes I have sitting around, taking dust bathes in the sandy soil around the shed and just lounging around.
@ AARR « Sat 9:30:52 am »
First time I have seen Thelma in about a month. She had three small chicks with her then and she was very very nervous back then. Today she was cautious but in a week or two she’ll be back to trusting me again.
@ AARR « Sat 9:29:22 am »
Because her fawns were with her the doe was a little nervous with me being there (unlike the other day when she was alone and barely noticed me)
@ AARR « Sat 9:25:36 am »
This morning Thelma (the turkey) and one of her chicks and the doe and her two fawns were in my front yard. The deer were grazing and Thelma was looking at me as if to say, "dude, where is my corn!".

Football game was fun. Lakewood bested Eaton Rapids at home 33-0. The opposite of last week were we lost 0-45 away at Charlotte. But I did not attend that game. We also won the contest at Penfield so I think the record is now 2-1. I just go to watch the band :) (not really. I like the sportsball game too)

That is precisely how we feel/felt. It’s probably naive but we only lock our doors at night. No cameras. No security. But this crime spree was not some neighborhood kids.
@ AARR « Fri 9:53:40 am »
Hope they find the criminals who broke into your cars.
@ Jetlink « Fri 9:33:56 am »

I was talking with the police and neighbors and there were multiple break-ins in our Plymouth neighborhood last night/this morning. Our cars were broken into but there was nothing worth taking although they left the glove box and doors open. We have lived here 25 years and never had a problem before. :(
@ AARR « Fri 9:15:30 am »
That’s crazy Jochs. Hope you get better soon.
