I bet their dial up is faster than their nicad battery chargers from the 90s
@ DaveO « Sat 5:07:06 pm »
I see dewalt is still using dial-up to host their website. what a pleasant customer experience it isn’t.
@ Jetlink « Sat 4:55:13 pm »
I hope to ride again this afternoon or evening as this mornings ride was technically yesterday’s ride.

I was going to bike last night when we got back from the soccer game. But I was legitimately tired. So I decided to sleep at least 8 hours and then get up and ride before breakfast and my son’s soccer game.

29+ miles in 2+ hours on the MOT on my mountain bike
@ ~Z~ « Sat 11:44:11 am »
I’m guessing sport schedules, but yes, very unlike jetlink to bike in the morning.

interesting on the weighing out the food bit. I'll keep plugging away at numbers. Trying to watch my cholesterol intake too. Got 15 mile bikey in this evening, helped negate the yummy Mexican casserole:)
@ AARR « Fri 4:26:36 pm »
When I started educated myself about foods I did this. After a while I was able to calculate the calories in my head (or as Jet says, ballpark it).

Calorie app and a food scale. Weighing out the portion sizes is key. It is really hard to get exact but with a scale you can get very close.

Also the app is much more bloated than it was when I first started using it in 2015. A lot of information and features added over the years that just make it harder to use. Many features that used to be basic are also now premium. namely the ability to just take a picture of a product barcode.

There are several memorials along the MOT where people died. The most well known one is the young lady who was murdered in Armada. She has a large and very nice display in her memory.
@ ~Z~ « Fri 7:46:10 am »
appears an older guy died yesterday evening on the mountain bike trails near Rockford. Didn’t know him, but crashed and stopped breathing. Merrell Trail off of 10 mile.

makes sense. i rode my dad’s more cruiser like Trek the other day, thinner tires with a giant seat. Pretty sure I biked faster than my mountain bike though just due to it being so light and thinner tires
@ Jetlink « Thu 9:49:40 pm »
The two previous days of long rides were telling. This seat is not what I’m used to and the geometry of this bike is different. I think it’s a faster set up for sure but it feels very different.
@ Jetlink « Thu 9:46:47 pm »
I made a seat adjustment to the bike today. I still don’t have it dialed in as well as the old bike.
@ Jetlink « Thu 9:46:24 pm »
Nice.
@ ~Z~ « Thu 9:46:14 pm »
got about 15 miles bikey in today and a mile walk loop this evening.
