3:18:40 to the turnaround point at 50.29 miles. I was just trying to get an AVG between 15.0-16.0 mph for the first long ride of the year. A majority of the trail was on crushed aggregates and was into the wind northbound. So I was quite happy with that pace. Yielded 15.2 mph for the avg on the first 50 miles.

There is a doe that has her fawn around our house every year. I live in a subdivision so there is not any forests to hide the fawn yet she manages to keep it hidden until she’s ready to take it away.

3 days no robin on the nest. abandoned as usual when they build it near the front door. doe acting strange looking like she was getting close to birthing. encouraged her to move on. don’t want to clean that up

Wind favors route to North so it will be Home-Lake O- Ionia State Rec Area- (Join River Valley trail/CIS trail) Saranac-Lowell-Belding and return.

Should be about 100 round trip from home.

Thinking with wind the route will be through Sunfield to Muir then on the CIS trail to ST Johns and return.

Hopefully century ride, (or worky if a good enough trip comes down the pipe) and then #3’s soccer game at GRCC in Knapps corner.

AARR didn't do the tried and trued best method: ride against wind to start, have wind push you home.

It takes a while but one of the major portions of the service in Woodland is the reading the roll call of the names of all of the deceased veterans from Woodland township. I think it is a great tribute.

Attended memorial day service in Woodland this morning. My daughter was hired to be the bugler playing taps at the Sunfield and Clarksville Cemetery today for their services. Some of the other band kids were doing the service at Woodland and Lake Odessa.

That is what I thought too. But I really thought based on what I know about The MOT for example that my odometer was really accurate so I am surprised to see how off it is (even if it’s less that 5 percent)

righto on the slower speeds on gravel. heck, my mtn bike tires I notice are faster on smooth pavement than more rough pavement.
