Working on the railroadWith the Completion of the bridge expansion near Range Line Road, tracklaying on the last of the lead in tracks can be completed. Here we see crews at work doing that east of Range Line Road. Barely visible on the right is the new cantilever signal bridge installed - replacing a mast signal for those tracks. Change was made at the request of operations for visibility purposes.MSchwiebert
Admin BuildingConstruction work continues on the Administration building on the project grounds. Not visible in this view are the two high bay doors on the north side of the building. The overall structure appearance also looks much like the new building at Walbridge Yard.MSchwiebert
putting down the trackIn a telephoto lens view from Liberty Hi Road, one can see the progress of tracklaying in the facility as well as some of the preliminary concrete pours for the aprons next to the trackage.MSchwiebert
Next Generation ATCSThe new interlockings placed for the North Baltimore project use a satellite link instead of the radio based ATCS link that the existing (from the B&O upgrade project) interlockings do. As a result, these interlockers cannot be monitored by the ATCS software used by railfans. Here we see the dish and the Hoytville "A House" on 11/9/2009MSchwiebert

View eastward from Rangeline Road 11/28/2009As a unit ethanol train passes, we can see that the culvert extension for the creek near the Rangeline Road grade crossing has been completed. With this done, the trackwork for the westward leads can resume.MSchwiebert
