X500 heading east from FoxMet up with Gregg and Russ at Fox once we knew X500 was leaving. 500 took the siding and met Q327. Unfortunantly, Gregg had to get home. Sure enough as soon as he left, Q327 came up the hill. After catching Q327, Russ and I walked up the embankment to the Thornapple River Dr. bridge. With just a little bit of light left, they finally took off for points east. Sole power was CP 9778, which was chugging pretty good here as it lugged the train out of the siding. N924 @ McCordsBooked over to McCords and was blessed with a bit of sun as N924 came into view. Those new Gevo's are probably the cleanest engines I've ever seen!SD80MAC

N924 @ Timpson Ave. CrossingAs soon as the engines passed me at Elmdale I was in my truck and speeding down unplowed roads to try and get back ahead. Almost took out several mailboxes rounding corners! Slid in to the Timpson Ave. crossing just as the lights began to flash and the Gevo's blasted bye.SD80MAC

CSX 753 &760 Lead N924 Heading West @ ElmdaleEarliar in the day as I got back in my truck after shooting Q326 at Buchanann, I heard the dispatcher telling them there was a West Olive train coming at them. So I gave Gregg Pullano a call and told him to keep an eye out. Sure enough, he was down in Okemos, and in no time N924 came around the corner with 2 shiny new CSX ES44AC's. He told me this, and I made it my mission to catch them in as many spots as I could! I made my way out to Elmdale and only had to wait 2 minutes before the headlight appeared.SD80MAC

N924 @ FoxNew CSX ES44AC's 753 and 760 tackle the hill at Fox while the sun pokes through the clouds off to the west. They were really flying and I wouldn't have beat them to Kraft, but a speed restriction at Fox slowed them down enough for me to get ahead. SD80MAC

N924 Heads Upgrade Through The SnowCrawling up the hill at Fox due to a speed restriction. The Gevo's were howling in notch 8. 12 cylinder diesels sound funny.......SD80MAC

Q335-09 @ FoxJon called me just as I got out of school and told Q335 was coming with a clean ex Conrail SD60M leading (along with the Spirit Of Nashville trailing). It was a nice enough day and the train had good power, so I headed to the end of Kraft. Here's 8772 and 4589 heading slowly west upgrade through the speed restriction at this spot, which was being worked on earliar in the week but had been removed by then. Apparently the crew never got the message.SD80MAC
