E848 Rolling Slowly Through McCords at DuskEven though it was an empty coal train, the one SD50-2 in notch 8 on this train couldn't get it moving very quick. We could hear it for a while before it got to us. Since they were going so slow, I tried a pic. There's the result. SD50-2 #8570.SD80MAC

Q335-09 @ McCordsThis would've been a better shot if I hadn't cranked up the ISO so much, didn't know how much sun would be on the engine. Oh well, here's 335 heading west to meet E848 at Fox.SD80MAC

X500-09 Coming Over The Hump @ FoxTalking with Zack, he thought he had heard Q335 was dead at Lake O, and we had both heard K908 was meeting something. So Zack, Jon and I piled into my truck and headed east. We got all the way to Lake O and guess what? No train! Oh well, fun times anyway. We got back to GR just in time to hear X500 clearing Seymoure, then catching them rolling east.SD80MAC

Q327-09 Backing To The HouseWell, atleast I got to see the power. After K908 and Y221 cleared, Q327 came back from detaching from it's train.SD80MAC

K908-08 Departing The YardIn one of the fastest crew changes I ever saw, K908 pulled up to the tower, and was recrewed and underway in about 10 minutes. They stopped at the signal at Plaster Creek because it was showing red, so the dispatcher had to give them clearence through it. Here they are leaving, along with Y221 shoving about, both of which would block my view of Q327 coming into the yard.SD80MAC

Y221, X500, and K908Here we see three trains lined up in Wyoming yard, not very close together, but still. Y221 is getting X500's autoparts cut as 500's old crew de-trains.SD80MAC

X500-09 @ IvanrestHad a tough choice to make, X500 and Q327 sounded like they were going to get into the yard at almost the same time. Deciding I'd rather see 500, I booked it over to Ivanrest where 500 was flying around the corner. They were moving along pretty good in this shot, and after they went by me, began to slow for the yard.SD80MAC

Are they going to hit?Q327 came in on the same track as Y221 was working. For a minute it sure didn't look like 221 was going to stop as they were flying along with X500's autoparts cut. But they stopped just short of 327, and began shoving back, 327 following slowly behind.SD80MAC
