Plymouth Cantilever SignalOne of two Cantilever signals in the Plymouth area, this view can be accessed from the end of Irvin Street in Plymouth, where it stops at the Plymouth Sub. This view looks east as CSX trrain Q335 swings off the Saginaw Sub on the SW wye and heads west toward Grand Rapids. This cantilever if from the late C&O period. An earlier designed cantilever can be found just east of the Beck Road crossing, west of town. Note the many flatcars of pipe. 5-18-05 GP30M4216

Plymouth CSX NB at Farmer St.This is the view looking northbound on the CSX Saginaw Sub at the Farmer St. crossing, toward the Plymouth Diamond. The track going straight in the forground to the right is the mainline to Saginaw; the connecting track at right is the SE wye. The track on the left is the long lead for the SW wye, which becomes the running track into North Yard where it crosses the Detroit Sub. at diamond. Note the newly installed hood signal, replacing the tri light type which we here just weeks ago. 5-18-05GP30M4216

Plymouth CSX Starkweather St.This is the view looking west from the Starkweather St. crossing toward the Plymouth diamond. The line on the left heading straight into the distance past the newly installed "hood" signal is the main toward Grand Rapids. The line curving off to the right is the NE Wye. The line switching off to the left is the SE wye which is the most heavily used of the four wye tracks around the diamond, connecting Detroit and Toledo. 5-18-05GP30M4216
