Amtrak P371A nice cool fall morning in Fennville - Amtrak P371 heading to Chicago around 9:00 AM on Saturday, October 4, 2008.Tlout

Michigan Shore #180Michigan Shore #180 and Grand Rapids Eastern #3839 headed north by the house at 5:22 AM. At 6:45 AM they headed south to Waverly Yard in Holland with some cars. It was to dark and rainy to see what paint scheme they had, so around 9:00 AM I found them in Waverly Yard. Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008.Tlout

BNSF 5696, 6294Head end of coal train that had some difficulty getting out of Holland. The second unit, BNSF 6294 apparently ran out of fuel just past Riley St., and an air hose must have been broken by the snow build up. Then the crew, D802, timed out and had to be relieved by D801 re-crew. Finally they made it to Hiawatha Dr. with the warning bell in BNSF 6294 ringing away. Made for a nice way to spend lunch break.Tlout
